Non-Resident of India,
known as NRI, may wish to Buy a property / Sell his property in
India. But due to some circumstances, he / she may not be able to
come over to his Native for this auction. In Such cases he / she may
give Power to anyone here, in India, to make the transaction.
In this issue, he /
she should get Power of Attorney format in his working Country. The
format varies Country to Country. But we, Vedha Realtors, have most
of the Formats with us. After getting this Format, he / she has to
get the concerned Format attested by Indian Embassy in his working
Country. This procedure will require him / her to pay a little
amount to the Embassy as Stamp fee in his / her working country.
After getting attested, he / she has to send the Power Document by
Post (not by person strictly). Also, POA can be got from a Notary in
his / her working country.
Here, the DRs
(Deputy Registrars) have the rights to Register the foreign POA.
After registering the POA documents at Madurai, the Registration of
the Property can be made by his / her relatives here. At the time of
Registration, the Sub-Registrar will ask for the foreign POA
registered by DRs earlier.
